Green Mountain Roller Derby at Akes Place!

Vermont’s first and largest Roller Derby League, is hosting a Gift Basket Raffle! We’ll have different themed baskets up for grabs all night. Gift basket themes will be released soon!

Stop by, grab a drink with GMRD, and take home a basket or two. Details below:

Where: Akes’ Place
When: Friday, September 23rd. 6:30- 9pm

Raffle tickets are $1 each/$5 arm’s length/$10 wingspan

All of the money GMRD makes goes back into the organization to help put on our games and pay for practice space.

Skate Party!

Join the Green Mountain Derby Dames at an open skate party fundraiser on Saturday, March 29th! We’ll be skating from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, and all ages are welcome. Bring your own quad or inline skates. The price is $12 for adults, and $8 for kids 12 and under. All proceeds benefit the Green Mountain Derby Dames and go towards expenses like practice space and travel. Grade A Fancy Co-Host Big Easy Monday

The Grade A Fancy and Until Next Time co-host a dinner at ArtsRiot with New Orleans-themed food. Portion of the profits to benefit the GAF travel fund. Be on the look out for Dames on skates throughout the night! Menu TBD. As always there will be rice & beans and beer for $8. Check out the Facebook event for more info.

Spring Girls Roller Derby League

The Green Mountain Derby Dames have expanded their love of roller derby to help create the Minor Catastrophes, Vermont’s first girls’ junior roller derby team. Each week girls will train with veteran skaters from the Green Mountain Derby Dames learning all the basic skills of skating on quad roller skates: skating, stopping, agility, speed and endurance. Girls with skating ability from beginning to advanced can participate. The Minor Catastrophes will have a chance to skate in a halftime exhibition game at a spring GMDD bout.
